This is an exciting and challenging role to help reinforce the IT function within our growing charity. The post holder will support Senior Management in the development, maintenance and monitoring of the database management system, operating systems and security policies and procedures ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team and interacts effortlessly with others in order to resolve technical issues, so good communication and a strong customer focus is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience; have excellent problem solving skills; good knowledge of Windows server operating systems, Hyper-V, SQL Server and the ability to write scripts to perform more bespoke administration and application tasks.
This position is based at our Burslem site in Stoke-on-Trent but travel to our Hanchurch site will also be necessary.
Salary: £26,932 - £30,692 pa depending on skill and experience. UCB also offers a range of employee benefits.
