Trinitarian Bible Society at Middleport Pottery

I greet you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, as a member of the church of God in Burslem.

My key agenda is Christ’s Church, and Sound Christian Doctrine.

2 Timothy 4, verses 3, 4:

3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

In the context of Sound Doctrine, I enclose/attach details of the meeting in the evening of Monday 7 November 2016, at Middleport Pottery, Burslem.

Not all Christians have heard of the Trinitarian Bible Society.

On a family holiday in 1995, we came across a Christian Resources exhibition in Aberystwyth.

Inside, there was a table for “Bible Society”, with whom I was acquainted, because in the 1980s and 90s I worked with the Burslem Action Group of Bible Society (previously the “British and Foreign Bible Society”, formed in 1804).

Then, lo and behold, further down the room was a table for “TBS – Trinitarian Bible Society”.  So I asked, “Bible Society I know, but who are you?”.  I came away with booklets.  They made good sense to me.

Several years ago I rediscovered these booklets and, together with articles from www.tbsbibles.org/articles , I found myself pretty much agreeing 100% with everything being said.

I just had to meet these people who would seem to see things concerning translating of the Bible from the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts the way I had come to understand them.  So I went to the Annual General Meeting of TBS at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Elephant and Castle, London, in 2012, and every year since.

Therefore, whether or not you have already discovered the Trinitarian Bible Society, please bring your friends to hear Dr David Allen on 7 November.

Thank you for reading my letter.
