The importance of faith-based community work in promoting ‘community cohesion’ and societal transformation is increasingly being recognised.
Whether it is a local parents & toddlers group, after school club, luncheon meeting for the elderly or work with many different marginalised groups, faith groups have a deep commitment to serving their neighbourhoods.
The Saltbox seeks to highlight & help create an effective and influential faith sector across Staffordshire.
We aim to:
- support, encourage and promote the work of the Church
- provide infrastructure support for faith groups which will help bring about community cohesion and transformation
- promote a voice for the sector which will influence decision making and local service delivery
- promote faith engagement in statutory, voluntary and community sector partnerships
