a free confidential service for anyone with debt issues or money worries

Money Matters was established in 2009 to support and advise people experiencing problems with money and debt. This is a free and confidential service which helps people to address current or potential problems.

We can help with:

• the preparation of an income and expenditure budget
• negotiations with creditors to agree affordable payment plans
• the provision of Debt Relief Orders and support through bankruptcy procedures
• representation at court when legal action has commenced by creditors
• advising on other support services which operate within our area
• alternative debt remedies when you do not have any available income for debt repayment
• specialist help and support to local faith communities who want to provide a debt advice service
• training community volunteers to provide debt support within their local neighbourhoods

How to contact us:

• referrals into this service can be made through your local faith leader
• you don’t have to attend your local faith gathering to access this service. This service is open to people of all faiths and none
• referrals can only be made with your consent
