Volunteer Mentoring Schemes

Restart provides supported accommodation and training for ex-offenders, helping them to achieve and maintain independent living.

Our mentoring service provides opportunities for volunteers to support clients to become confident, healthy and have improved life skills.

Volunteer Mentors will be trained and supported to provide this invaluable service, helping to break the cycle of re-offending.

We are recruiting skilled and unskilled people to be trained as volunteer mentors

Do you have a few hours to spare?

Do you want to gain experience?

Do you want to learn new skills?

Do you want to make a difference?

Our volunteer mentors will help us provide support and rehabilitation to those who have been through the prison system but want to make positive strides towards an independent, meaningful future. As a volunteer mentor you will:

  • meet with clients to provide encouragement and support
  • use their skills and experience to build the confidence and practical skills of clients through activities such as painting, decorating, gardening and general DIY
  • engage with clients in a variety of social activities, including attending appointments, cooking and shopping
